Responsibilities and Duties

ICITAP is a law enforcement development organization whose mission is to work with foreign governments to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives. ICITAP anticipates this training to be conducted over a 1 week period.

ICITAP requires a Law Enforcement Advisor with experience advising and training police public affairs officers.

Theoretical and operational implementation of strategic communication strategies in law enforcement.

Developed written guidelines for media relations and leadership communications for law enforcement agencies.

Minimum Tangible Qualifications:

Masters degree or higher in Public Communications or comparable field.
At least 20 years of experience serving as a police or city spokesperson, public affairs director, or developing training for personnel in those positions.
Experience administering strategic communication training programs in academy or university setting.

Experience advising executives at metropolitan, state or federal levels on strategic communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctorate in Public Communications.
