Dr. Corey Slovis, Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, conducted the training at the MNPD Academy Monday afternoon before a class of police officer trainees. Viewing of the training video is mandatory for all police department employees.

“Dr. Slovis does an outstanding job in helping laypersons and first responders understand Ebola and the real facts associated with it,” Chief Steve Anderson said. “We believe the training video is beneficial to the entire Nashville community.  I am grateful to Dr. Slovis for his strong commitment to the health of our city.”

Dr. Slovis is also Medical Director for both the Nashville Fire Department and Nashville International Airport.
