Public Information Officer

Town of Mead, Colorado

The primary responsibility is to perform public relations work necessary to cultivate a favorable public image for the Town by working closely with key stakeholders, by maximizing media opportunities to communicate a unified message about the Town both internally and externally, and encouraging citizen and community engagement.

Under general direction of the Town Manager, develops, coordinates and oversees internal and external communications and outreach planning for all Town departments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in Communication/Journalism or related field.
• Four years professional communications/public relations experience in a public organization.
