EMI Announces Advanced PIO Training Opportunities

The Emergency Management Institute has announced additional training opportunities to receive Advanced Public Information Officers.

The Advanced Public Information Officer Course provides participants the knowledge and skills to establish, manage and work within a joint information center (JIC) through multimedia lectures and individual and group activities.

The training allows participants the opportunity to apply advanced public information skills during a multi-day functional exercise (FE) designed to test the participants’ abilities to analyze, coordinate, process and create information in a fast-paced, realistic environment.

Two course dates are available at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD.

It is held at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
