Multimedia Specialist
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Multimedia Specialist to join their team! The Multimedia Specialist will work in the Community Affairs Office and be responsible for creating an in-house television program, emergency updates and community-based programming for the public.
The position will develop concepts, scripts, sets, and all other necessary elements to produce video segments and programs that effectively communicate information about law enforcement initiatives and social media use. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to tell stories succinctly through visuals and sounds and is proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite.

Job Summary
Under general direction of the Sheriff, plans, coordinates and directs a public information program to create and maintain a positive public image for the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department. Manages, plans, develops, and executes effective internal and external communications, public relations and community affairs programs, activities and outreach.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors of Arts Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications or Journalism, supplemented by three (3) or more years in journalism, communications, broadcasting, public relations or a closely related field, including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
