Public Information Officer – Engineering

This is responsible professional communications and public relations work in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive Public Information Program for the City of Madison Engineering Division.
A focus of this position will be assuring the Engineering Division’s communication and outreach efforts are accessible to all members of the Madison community.
The work involves developing and implementing publicity, public relations, public information, social media, and internal communications materials and activities for the Engineering Division within a strategic context. This position coordinates all media relations, and prepares and disseminates appropriate public information regarding departmental activities, events and operations.
