Emergency Services Media Relations Officer

This is an advanced, professional level position supporting the communication needs for Sarasota County Emergency Services. This position is responsible for the department’s media engagements and communication strategies. Consulting with Emergency Services and Fire Department administration to plan, coordinate, create and implement multiple forms of communications.
This position takes daily direction from the county’s Communications Department’s manager and reports to the Emergency Services director. This position resides in the Communications Department providing synergy between countywide initiatives and department-specific messaging.
