The Assistant Deputy Director for the Public Affairs and Communication (PAC) serves as the key strategist and leader in developing, planning, and implementing plans in line with the communication goal of the Lottery. The position is expected to provide high-level advice and expertise on all activities related to the PAC division, including responsibility for evaluating programs, policies, processes, and procedures and making enhancement recommendations. Responsible for managing daily operations for the Lottery’s PAC division. Support the development of responses to media inquiries, the preparation of media strategies for dissemination of winner awareness, jackpot information, and other important Lottery messaging to statewide media markets. Provide support to PAC leadership on efforts related to educating Californians about the Lottery’s mission to raise supplemental funding for California education. Activities may include but aren’t limited to attending strategy meetings and offering feedback on creative direction or other materials. Provide high-level expertise to executive staff and the commission on all communications activities for the Lottery; Provide clear and concise support and recommendations for internal and external communications.
