Seeking a strategic-minded, energetic, excellent communicator to join Pasco Sheriff’s Office as a Public Information Officer.

The position will be responsible for working with the various media projects that the Pasco Sheriff’s Office is involved in and will serve in a rotating, on-call capacity for reporters and media inquiries after hours. This position will also serve as a point of contact for media during regular business hours and will be responsible, as directed, for arranging interviews with media outlets and filling media requests. Position may also be responsible for assisting in the filling of public information requests and assisting with other functions of the Public Information Office, including content creation and social media, as required.

The City of Dublin is seeking candidates for Director of Communications & Public Information who reports to the City Manager and supervises eleven (11) staff including a Public Affairs Officer, Public Information Officers, a Multimedia Communications Specialist, a Digital and Brand Manager, a Digital and Graphic Designer, and an Administrative Support III.

The Director’s responsibilities include coordinating and implementing the City-sponsored internal and external communications and publications, marketing, media relations, social/digital media, brand alignment, multi-media productions, public affairs, crisis communication, and engagement with employees, key stakeholders, and other priority audiences.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or other relevant fields and extensive progressively responsible managerial public relations, communications, journalism, or other relevant experience. A Master’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or other related fields is preferred.

Salary range is $91,400 – $131,400. Starting salary is competitive and negotiable based on the qualifications and experience of the individual selected.

County Communications Manager

The County of Sonoma invites applications for County Communications Manager.

The County Communications Manager is a new senior management level position in the County Administrator’s Office reporting to the County Administrator. They will be charged with building a centralized system of communications, overseeing the implementation of proactive communications strategies, and ensuring the County’s strategic communications vision and goals are in alignment with the County’s vision and goals, as defined by the County’s Board of Supervisors.

Salary for the County Communications Manager is $139,335 to $167,803 depending upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.
